Hello dusty runeboard and dusty friends who reside here. I just stopped by, thought I might leave a line. I miss the good times and the friends I haven't heard from in years. It has been so long since I played online that I don't even know if I still have a computer at home that has ever run Rune. Its great that this forum is still intact, I got a chuckle by looking though some of the old threads and remembering having participated in the events that are now old history.
I miss you guys, really. I miss being a kid and I miss having the time to play games on the internet all the time. Theres always so many new things going on all the time. Moving forward always seems to leave someone behind, and when I turn back to look at the old familiar places I used to know, its always like a big echoey hall, all dusty with lingering ghosts.
Well I'm going to sit back again and see where time takes me. Maybe this forum will stand for many years as a relic - just a little memento that past events occurred. Or maybe it will evaporate as these digital things tend to do, without any trace other than what little bits we managed to keep for ourselves. I remember that old black forum we used to have with the red and grey text. That was quite a while ago...

Good to see you're still alive and well, Dex. I swing by this board every couple of months when I happen to remember it, just to check up on things. Always makes me glad when I see a new post in here at those times. And I know the feeling, I miss it too. Might be that our minds have glorified the old times and that we've forgotten the bad and boring parts, but in my mind now all I can remember is having fun. All I can say is this forum and the era it represents will never disappear completely while we live, because the events that transpired here will always stay alive and remembered within us as memories. They are, irrevocably, a part of us.
As for the physical aspect of the forum, I hope and believe it'll stick around for years to come, since proboards don't seem to be in the habbit of removing old, inactive boards. Good to see you, anyway. Enjoy living!
